My Experience Babysitting a 3 Months Old Baby

About 7 years ago, Just when I moved into my new apartment I was looking for a fun way to pay the bills. I met a friend who’s just gave birth a while ago and she wanted me to start babysitting her 3 months old baby boy straight away. She fully used her maternity leave and considered not going back there, but looking for a full time job, which will affect her breastfeeding habits.

When I started babysitting she would pump and freeze breast milk for the baby to eat, but the baby was eating formula as well. At the beginning she came back home at around 4PM, calling me from the way asking for me not to feed the baby until she comes home so she could breastfeed him. I know it might sound odd, but it was really difficult if not impossible for her to pump at work. Her breasts were sore from the milk, as it was time to breastfeed, but now she is busy at work instead.

I’ve managed to keep the baby busy and not giving him a bottle of milk until she came back and breastfed him herself. I know this was hard for her, especially when it was like this everyday, until she gave up, and we switched to feeding the baby formula only.
